He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.
Commentary
Isaiah 33:6 speaks to the immense value of wisdom, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. This verse presents these qualities as the foundation of stability and strength, especially during times of trouble. The "stability of your times" suggests that in an ever-changing and often turbulent world, the wisdom and knowledge that come from God provide a firm anchor.
