This is my story. I was born premature at 26 weeks weighing 1lb 13oz and was 13.5 inches in length. I spent 145 days in the NICU and weighed just 7 pounds 8 ounces when I was discharged from the hospital. I developed Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) blindness while in the hospital at 3 months old.
