Living in God's Grace

Scripture

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Reflection

As we begin our day, let's take a moment to reflect on the profound truth of God's grace. Grace, the unmerited favor we receive from God, is a gift. It is not something we earn through our works, but something God gives freely out of His infinite love for us.

There's a powerful freedom in recognizing that our salvation doesn't rely on our own efforts, but on God's gift of grace. It liberates us from the burden of trying to be 'good enough' and invites us to rest in God's love and mercy.

Today, as you navigate the highs and lows, remember that you are held in the palms of His hands, not because of what you have done, but because of His grace. As you face challenges today, remind yourself that His grace is sufficient for you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace, the gift that we could never earn but You generously give. Help us to remember this truth when we feel inadequate or unworthy. Let us live today and every day, fully aware of Your grace and love that envelops us. Strengthen our faith and help us to share Your grace with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Action Steps

  1. Let the grace you have received from God flow through you to others.

  2. Make a point to extend grace to someone else.
