God is in Your Story

god is in your story

God is in your story. None of us are an accident. God knew us before we were born. He has pre-planned or “predestined” us for victory in any and every situation. We each have a God-given destiny—a life which God has pre-planned for us before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). You’re a story for His glory!

Psalm 139:16 - We Have Purpose

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

This Scripture has personally given me so much excitement and encouragement because it shows that God has a pre-planned, glorious future for my life. Each stage and each page of our story has purpose. Nothing is ever wasted.

Romans 8:18 - Present Suffering and Future Glory

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

I’m finally coming out of a very hard season myself and I have been so blessed by these lyrics from the song God Is In This Story by Katy Nichole and Big Daddy Weave.

God is in this story

God is in the details

Even in the broken parts, He holds my heart

He never fails

When I’m at my weakest

I will trust in Jesus

Always in the highs and lows, the One who goes before me

God is in this story

I’m also reminded of the time I woke up hearing a lyric from the song Out of Hiding by Steffany Gretzinger playing in my heart. Upon waking from a deep sleep in the middle of a dark time, I heard Steffany singing, “Oh as you run, what hindered love will only become part of the story.” This was a word from God to me that greatly encouraged me that my trials and tears were not wasted.

Embracing Life with Faith

The journey of life is often riddled with twists and turns, uncertainties and challenges. Knowing that God is actively involved in every aspect of our lives, guiding and shaping our story, can transform our perspective on life's trials.

God's Presence in Every Chapter

Finding Strength in Scripture

Scripture plays a crucial role in understanding and embracing our God-given destiny. Verses like Jeremiah 29:11 affirm God's plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. This assurance is a powerful reminder that our story, including its ups and downs, is part of a grander narrative crafted by God.

The Power of Personal Testimony

Sharing personal experiences of God's faithfulness can be profoundly impactful. Testimonies act as living proof of God's presence in our lives. They encourage us and others to trust in God's plan, especially during seasons of hardship. Your journey, with its unique challenges and victories, can be a source of inspiration and encouragement to someone going through a similar situation.

Embracing the Hard Seasons

Learning Through Trials

James 1:2-4 talks about considering it pure joy when facing trials because the testing of faith produces perseverance. Embracing trials as opportunities for growth and deeper reliance on God can bring about a profound transformation in our character and faith.

God's Comfort in Sorrow

In times of sorrow, it is comforting to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He is not a distant observer but a compassionate Father who walks with us through every season, turning our mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

The Role of Music in Faith

Songs as Reminders of God's Presence

The lyrics from "God Is In This Story" and "Out of Hiding" are more than just words - they are reminders of God's unfailing presence and love. Music has a unique way of speaking to our hearts, offering comfort, hope and strength in times of need.

Creating an Atmosphere of Worship

Incorporating music into our daily lives can create an atmosphere of worship, keeping our focus on God. Whether it's through listening, singing, or playing instruments, music can be a powerful tool for connecting with God and reinforcing our faith.

God Is the Author of Your Story

Remember, no matter where you are in your journey, God is with you, weaving every part of your story into His grand tapestry. Your life, with all its chapters, is a testament to God's love, grace and sovereignty. Trust in Him, for He is indeed in every detail of your story.
